Cist in Forekill holds a single pit burial aligned northeast to southwest, hidden beneath a low sand and gravel hillock in County Kilkenny. Men digging gravel in 1986 broke through the quiet earth and found slabs protecting the dead person below. The victim may have been placed there during a storm or a fever, forgotten until metal teeth bit into the ancient ground.
