Farranmanagh is a place where memory has gone blind. A very tall gallaun stone and a smaller companion stood there in 1943, but human hands have since erased their address. They may still pierce the Kerry sky, waiting for someone reckless enough to stop asking permission and begin looking.

In 1943 'a very tall gallaun stone and a smaller one nearby' were recorded in the Farranmanagh district. The exact location of these standing stones is not known.
