Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Sheshymore stands at the edge of a plateau overlooking a turlough basin, its almost circular cashel marked by scant stone walls and a man-made underground passage in the SE quadrant. An enclosure lies c. 125m to the WSW, while blackthorn bushes and briars hide much of the site. The steep slope to the NE and E suggests a place chosen for visibility and defense, though human use has faded into legend and loss.

At the edge of a plateau with a steep slope/cliff to the NE and E, and overlooking a turlough basin labelled ‘Loch an Líongáin’ on Robinson’s map (1977). Hachured on the 1842 and 1920 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. This poorly preserved almost circular cashel (ext. dims. 27m N-S; 26.6m E-W) is defined by the scant remains of a stone wall (Wth 1.6m at S; H 0.2-1.2m), mainly the outer wall-face which survives up to two courses high in places. It is heavily overgrown with blackthorn bushes and briars. There is some stone spill outside (Wth 1-3.7m; H 0.4-1.4m) the wall but very little inside it. There is a Man-made underground passage (CL009-110002-) in the SE quadrant of the interior. An enclosure (CL009-243----) lies c. 125m to the WSW.
