Fairy and human forts both stand accused of stealing children, so it is no wonder the border between them has blurred. The real fort is a low earthen ring around a rock ridge, with a smaller raised circle near its centre and a causeway leading to a gap in the bank. It is the kind of place where ordinary pasture stops making sense and memory takes over.

Internal Diam. 32m. A very low earthen bank encloses a subcircular area sited on a natural rock ridge. Near the centre is a circular raised area 10.5m in diameter. A causeway leads S from the raised area to where there is a gap in the bank. The site is located on rough pasture land.
