What is recorded here

Situated on a W-facing slope in undulating terrain, under pasture. The site is very badly damaged, the area around the base has been quarried and this has extended up to the outer face of the bank. At N the quarry extends into the interior with upcast forming bank around the quarry edge. A roughly circular enclosure (diam. 26m N-S; 24.7m E-W) defined by earth and stone bank (Wth 2.6m; int. H 0.64m; ext. H 2m), a fosse (Wth 5m; D 0.77m) and a possible outer bank (Wth 2.2m; ext. H 1.1m). The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
