Forty-five metres of grass and scrub stretched across Tubbrid before the earth vanished, bounded by an eight-to-nine metre bank and a wide eastern gap. The western ditch cut one and a half metres deep, holding the shape steady while the eastern edge barely dimpled the soil. A field wall ringed the outside, and a smaller mound sat nearby, but neither marker survives to show the boundary that once divided the local landscape.

This was described in 1969 (SMR file) as a circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 45m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 8-9m; int. H 0.6-1m; ext. H 2-2.3m) and an outer fosse (at E: Wth of top 7m; ext. D c. 0.2m) that was best preserved (at W: Wth of top 7m; ext. D 1.5m) W-N. There was a wide entrance (Wth of base 3.7m) at E. Outside the fosse E-S-W there was a field wall. The possible ring-barrow (ME008-040----) was c. 10m to the SW. Both monuments had been removed by 1995 (OSAP).
