Denis Power documented the Tinnakilla ringfort in 2011, revealing a thirty-metre circular scarps cut into a low rise. The steep northern edge drops nearly three metres before grading into a gentle southern slope, trapping the enclosure in the corner of a pasture field. cattle still graze the level interior where ancient hands shaped the earth, blending human memory into ordinary green life.

Atop low rise, in undulating pasture. Circular area (30m N-S; 31m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H 2.9m; Wth 8m) which grades to a longer and more gentle slope SE->NW (H 0.8m; Wth 12m). A field boundary runs along base of scarp SE->NW. Interior level and under pasture. Enclosure bounded closely by field boundary SE->NW so that it occupies SW corner of field.
