Thirty years of ploughing erased the fort, but the fort never stopped turning. It moved its walls into the men, showed itself in dreams, and waited for flesh strong enough to carry its music. The chamber is a jar of pressure, not a room for visiting. That is why it is empty, and why it is angry.

A fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Teerelton, likely dating to the early medieval period, is indicated by its circular enclosure and scarp features. The site is associated with local folklore of fairy activity and may have had both domestic and ritual significance.
