Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Rathranna: One of two single-ramparted forts in Rathranna, measuring about thirty or thirty-five yards across, stands buried beneath farmland in County Cork. Bowman recorded both in the 1930s, yet neither marker remains visible, suggesting the earth itself has swallowed human history. Such is the fate of most Irish ringforts: built with pride, forgotten with indifference, and reclaimed by grass.

One of two (CO023-020---) single-ramparted forts (diam. c. 30yd and c. 35yd) recorded by Bowman (1934, 186) in D. Daly's land. Exact location not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
