Fairy fort in Rathfilode: circular earthworks, 36m across, with a 4m bank on a knoll in pasture. People may have lived there, marked the entrance with stones, and left the rest to grass and rain.

In pasture, atop natural knoll. Circular area (36m E-W; 35m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (H 4m). External face of bank to NW terraced; gap to NE; entrance to ESE, with N side defined by single line of stones. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
