What is recorded here
Mundellihy holds a twenty-metre earthen ring where cattle still grind the bank into dust. They want the dense green interior, but they leave the old shape exposed. The fort is not dead, it is being eaten from the outside by hunger.
In level pasture. Circular area (diam. c. 20m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.4m) with external fosse (D 0.6m; Wth 1.8m). Interior and much of enclosing element covered by dense overgrowth. Enclosing element is being eroded by cattle trying to access interior.
