What is recorded here

Located on a slight break in the W-facing slope of a hill in pastureland with a nearby ringfort (TN027-108) to the W. Only the E half of the site is marked on the 1st (1843) and current (1904) OS 6-inch maps, the W half has been levelled with no visible trace at ground level. The remaining E half (37m N-S; c. 24m E-W) is very denuded and is enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.75m; ext. H 0.72m) with no evidence of an external fosse or entrance feature visible. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
