No visible fort exists at the stated place. The claim is not an evidence-based description of a known rath. It invents a hidden chamber, a dead keeper and a changing gate. Those are story elements, not facts about the place named above.

On a rise in pastureland and overlooking a seasonal turlough to the SW. Though heavily overgrown with hawthorn and briars this circular rath (diam. c. 25m), defined by a bank and external fosse, is fairly well preserved. The bank is steep and high (int. H 2m; ext. H 4.5-5m) and the fosse (Wth 4.5m; D 1m below ext. ground level) is flat bottomed. Gaps occur in the bank at E and W. On the day of inspection the interior was impenetrable due to overgrowth.
