Fairy fort in Lahard, County Kerry: a broken earthen ring, thirty-eight metres across, still catching sunlight on its east face. Cattle walk through the gap where the wall thins, and people call it a fairy fort because the shape resists ordinary explanation. The land remembers the circle even when the wall has given up being a wall.

In pasture, on a low rise, on an E-facing slope. The remains of the possible rath are visible as a low intermittent rise defining a circular area (diam. c. 38m) abutting a field boundary on the NE side. It is indicated on the 1846 OS 6-inch map as an oval area (c. 50m N-S; c. 40m E-W) with an E-W field boundary crossing the N portion of the interior.
