What is recorded here
Lackenduff holds a vanished ringfort, forty metres across, levelled in 1982 yet still shaping the field boundary that curves west to respect it. The earth forgot the wall but the fence remembers the circle, bending around an absence people could no longer see. Perhaps that is why fairy forts sound like jokes until dusk, when the boundary leads the eye toward what is missing.
In pasture, on gentle N-facing slope. Circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) levelled c. 1982. Field boundary curves to W to respect site.
