Knockglass holds an oval rath thirty-seven metres long on a hill crest, its low earth bank still marking a boundary people drew before written memory. The nearby fulacht fia and second rath suggest a busy landscape where heat, water and residence entangled. Modern quarries have bitten through the perimeter, yet the southern gap remains the likely entrance, preserving the shape of a life that no longer names itself.

Situated on a knoll at the crest of the E-facing slope of a broad hill. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims 37m NW-SE; 27.5m NE-SW) defined by a slight earth and stone bank (Wth of base 5-5.6m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.1m at WNW to 1.8m at ENE), with some internal stone facing at E. There is no visible fosse and there are several modern gaps in the perimeter, including an old quarry at N, but the original entrance is probably at S (Wth of base 3m). Rath (ME011-030----) is c. 85m to the NW, and fulacht fia (ME011-032----) is c. 60m to the WSW.
