An earthen ringfort called a fairy fort stands in Glasalt or Treanfasy, County Donegal, with a 26-metre interior raised above the surrounding good land. Its broken western and northern bank still wears scattered quartz stones, catching light like forgotten jewelry. People may have lived there before the name changed, but the stones suggest the place still belongs to imagination as much as history.

Internal diam. c. 26m. A subcircular area enclosed by a bank of earth with a lot of quartz stones on top. The bank only survives on the W and N sides. The interior is much higher than the surrounding ground. It is situated in good land. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
