Mud and memory collide inside the drumlin. The fort holds its shape because the land remembers the hands that built it. We call it fairy work only to admit that human effort vanished into legend. The measure is forty-two metres of intentional life.

Raised subcircular area (int. dims. 42.1m NNW-SSE; 38.5m NE-SW) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a wide, deep, partly waterlogged fosse. Partly blocked break in bank with accompanying causeway at SSE probably represents original entrance.
