Drumcannon holds a twenty-nine-metre earthen ring where a small stream still cuts the eastern ditch. People built that boundary in excellent Finn Valley land, perhaps raising the northern side to keep rain or invaders at bay. The fairies never appeared in the facts, but they fill the gap left by forgotten hands.

Internal diam. c. 29m. A roughly circular area enclosed by an earthen bank containing some stone. There are traces of a shallow fosse to the N and W and more definite indications, with a small stream running through it, on the E. Here also there is possible evidence for an outer bank, now a field boundary. The interior is even with a slight slope down to the N. The monument appears to have been artificially raised at this side also. It is situated in excellent land on the S side of the Finn Valley.
