Drumad holds a twenty-three metre earthen ring where a hidden passage may still cut through the floor. The entrance has vanished, but the ground remains raised and distinct, preserving the shape of a home that refused to disappear. People may have lived above or crawled below, using the same space for different kinds of protection. The fort keeps both possibilities alive because neither has been erased.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 23m) defined by a low scarp. Apparently the former enclosing features were a bank and fosse. Original entrance not recognisable. An earlier report (OPW 1977) noted possible traces of a Man-made underground passage within the internal area (CV028-013002-).
