Fairy forts are human places misnamed, often built as defensive ringforts during the Iron Age. In Dromanarrigle, that circular enclosure is levelled, leaving only a faint trace on the pasture slope. The fairies belong to the legend, not the architecture.

In pasture, on NNW-facing slope. Depicted as hachured roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map . Levelled; circular area (31.5m NNE-SSW) defined by slight rise SSW->WSW and W->E; faint trace of external depression to NW and N.
