What is recorded here

Two earthen banks and a waterlogged ditch enclose a circular space twenty-six metres across in Corglass, County Cavan. The inner bank still rises six metres high, massive enough to block the sky and force anyone entering through the south gap to walk beneath its shadow. People may have lived there, feared the dark water in the ditch, or simply marveled at the size of the ring before leaving it to the fairies.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 26m) enclosed by two earthen banks with a very wide and deep, partly waterlogged intermediate fosse. Outer bank may be partly modern.
