Fairy fort in Caherduggan South: a circular earthen ring, about twenty-two metres across, hidden in overgrown pasture on a SW-facing slope. Its bank and partial ditch still mark the shape, though field boundaries may have taken the outer edge. People may have lived, herded, or hidden there before the grass forgot the doors.

In pasture, on SW-facing slope, in NE corner of field. Site heavily overgrown; inaccessible except to SW. Circular overgrown area (c. 22m N-S; c. 20m E-W) defined by bank (int. H 0.18m, ext. H 0.82m) probably surviving all round; fosse visible S->WNW, impossible to determine full extent; outer bank (ext. H 0.5m) S->WNW, probably removed or incorporated into field boundaries enclosing site WNW->SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
