What is recorded here
No visible trace remains at Ballynamanagh West, though the lost ringfort still belongs to the land beneath the grass. It may have stood as a ordinary home, a boundary marker or a forgotten shelter before the ground swallowed its edges. The absence does not erase the shape; it invites imagination to complete what measurement stopped recording.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
