What is recorded here

Situated on a ridge in well drained pasture-land with wide views of the surrounding countryside. Ringfort (WM006-017----) 140m to NW. A large oval area (approx. diam. 63m N-S; 47m E-W) enclosed by a well preserved earthen bank (max. H 1.75) covered in bushes, with several disturbance gaps, a wide deep fosse and a second poorly preserved outer bank which has been partially levelled at E. A causewayed gap (W 2m) at S represents the entrance. The interior has traces of cultivation ridges which run from NNW-SSE. A post 1700 field boundary intersects the site at NW.
