Fairy fort in Ballydaly, County Cork: a 33-metre earthen ring on a pasture slope, its bank still standing nearly two metres high. Broker wrote in 1937 that it had a double fence, and a stone-faced line may still hide inside the field boundary. The gaps at north, east and west invite entry, while the shadowed passage within refuses to be judged. People may have lived there, feared it or simply avoided it; the earth keeps all three possibilities alive.

In pasture, on NE-facing slope. Slightly raised, circular area (33.2m E-W; 32.5m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.8m); line of external fosse visible as band of darker vegetation. Possible second bank survives W->NNW, stone-faced and incorporated into field fence system; according to Broker (1937, 43) enclosure had 'double fence'. Gaps in bank to N, ESE and SW.
