Fairy fort in Ballinlyny, County Limerick: a 30m earthen ring on a gentle slope, its interior later used as a dump for earth and stones. The bank still stands, higher outside than inside, while a triangular scar of rubble stretches northeast where the ground was stripped and refilled. Cattle graze around it now, untroubled by the name. Whatever lived there before the dumping is gone, but the circle remains, holding its shape against pasture and time.

In pasture, on gentle NE-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 30m) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank (int. H 0.75m; ext. H 1.75m). Interior used as dump for earth and stones; dump extends over triangular area (15.5m x 34m) to NE of enclosure.
