Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballindrimna

Fairy fort, also known as an earthen ringfort, in Ballindrimna, is a circular rath about 40 metres across, set in low-lying grassland in County Galway. Its earth bank has largely vanished from the west to the north, leaving only a faint trace behind grass and rain. People may have lived there, herded animals or simply marked the edge of a field, but the shape still suggests a boundary drawn in soil. What is missing has not stopped the place keeping its form; it has only become harder to read.
