Situated on a high ridge, in pasture, with commanding views of the surrounding landscape. Ringfort (WM031-028----) lies c. 90m to S. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a roughly circular-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1973 as a small, roughly circular-shaped area (dims. 19m) enclosed by a bank of earth and stone. The interior is very uneven with a large number of stones and small boulders scattered across the surface. Monument is visible today as a roughly circular-shaped tree-planted earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography. Compiled by Alison McQueen, Vera Rahilly and Caimin O’Brien.
