What is recorded here

No fairy ever flew here. A human hand threw earth on a Galway ridge, dug a ditch, and left a three-metre gap facing southeast. The fort is twenty-six metres across, still round enough to stop argument. Whatever fear or pride built it, that gap still points somewhere.

On a ridge in undulating grassland. Circular rath (D 26m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse; traces of a second fosse and third bank are visible, c. 3m from the main enclosing elements, from NE through E to SE.
