Ballagh Castle (in Ruins) — Report the wrong picture

Ballagh Castle has surrendered most of its structure to the marsh, leaving only a fragment of east-northeast wall and a faint batter to mark where defiance once stood. The surviving subcircular bank, nearly twenty-two metres across, still rings the pasture like a forgotten drumbeat, radiating smaller ridges into the wet grass. Whatever life moved inside that circle has dissolved into the soil, but the shape remains, patient and unbroken, waiting for someone to remember why it was built.

In gently undulating marshy pastureland. A poorly preserved castle; all that survives is a section of ENE wall with traces of a batter. Surrounding the monument is a subcircular enclosure (D c. 21.5m) defined by an earthen bank; a series of similar banks radiate from it.
