Gateway, extant 1886, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of rendered piers on chamfered plinths having stringcourses below "Cavetto"-detailed stepped capping supporting crocketed cast-iron double gates with rendered outer piers on chamfered plinths having stringcourses below "Cavetto"-detailed stepped capping supporting crocketed cast-iron railings. Street fronted at entrance to grounds of Mayfield House.
A gateway making a pleasing visual statement in Parnell Road at the entrance on to the grounds of the Mayfield House estate.
