In pasture, on W side of stream, with marsh immediately to N and S. Circular area (c. 46m N-S) defined by scarp (H 1.3m) NW->SW; slight internal lip to N, may be remains of bank. Gap (Wth c. 3m) to ESE. Interior surface uneven; level with surrounding field to W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
