Ardagh enclosure is a shallow broken circle on a north-facing Galway slope, possibly a barrow or ringfort reduced to a faint fence line. It may have marked birth, burial, exclusion or ownership long before pasture covered its edges. The land still holds the shape even when memory has forgotten the purpose.

On a N-facing slope in pastureland. Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as an oval enclosure (c. 40m by c. 30m). All that survives is a flat subcircular area (N-S 37m) defined by a shallow fosse (Wth 5m) from SE through S to NNW. Possibly a barrow or a ringfort.
