What is recorded here

On a ridge in grassland. Well-preserved oval rath (E-W 80m, N-S 71m ext.; GA007-002----) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. Possible entrance at SE. A field boundary cuts the monument at NW and SW. Abutting the rath at E is a large subrectangular annexe (N-S; L 52m, Wth 40m; GA007-002001-) defined by two earthen banks and an intervening fosse. A CBG (GA007-010----) lies 50m to W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
