Fairy fort / ringfort

What is recorded here

Marked as a subrectangular embanked enclosure (ext. dims. c. 45m NE-SW; c. 40m NW-SE) constrained by field banks at SE and SW on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated in pasture on a slight S-facing slope, it is not visible in pasture at ground level. Man-made underground passage (WA016-042002-) is in the interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
