Gateway, c.1965, incorporating fabric of earlier gateway, c.1865, on site comprising painted cement rendered piers with cast-iron equine finials, and painted cement rendered curved flanking walls. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Haven Hotel (Villa Marina).

Although comprehensively reconstructed in the late twentieth century, this gateway remains an attractive feature in the streetscape of Cuckaloo. The cast-iron finials, probably salvaged from the original gateway on site, enhance the artistic design quality of the composition.
