Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Dungar, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a level landscape as a D-shaped grass-covered area measuring roughly 36 metres by 20 metres. A scarp 0.4 to 0.8 metres high defines the boundary, while a road running west-northwest to east-southeast truncates the northern edge.
On a level landscape. Described as having a wide earthen bank (Gannon 1972). D-shaped grass-covered area (dims c. 36m WNW-ESE; c. 20m NNE-SSSW) defined by a scarp (H 0.4-0.8m). It is truncated at N by a WNW-ESE road. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
