Saggart Graveyard

Cemetery

What is recorded here

Hogback cross-slab, Saggart Graveyard, stands at the north-western end, its rounded upper shape and ring-headed crosses marking a tenth-century tradition of Irish carved stone. The yard remains an active burial ground on Dublin’s southern fringe, where a quiet granite slab outlives the neighbourhood around it. In raking light, the edge mouldings and tapering body become easy to read, inviting a slower look than a modern grave would ask.
Saggart Graveyard is a cemetery in County Dublin, Ireland.
