Sixteen headstones mark the private graves of the Knox-Gore family inside a possible ancient rath. The stones have watched County Mayo rain for two centuries, keeping a small line of descendants buried beside older, unnamed hands.
In a possible rath (MA039-103001-). Indicated on the 1930 OS 6-inch map as ‘Grave Yard (Private), this is a 19th- and 20th-centuries burial ground of the Knox-Gore family. Sixteen headstones are arranged in rows. Compiled by: Jane O’Shaughnessy Date of upload: 1 April 2020
