First identified in an unpublished archaeological LiDAR report (Davis, 2015) commissioned by Roscommon County Council as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment for the N5 Ballaghaderreen - Scramoge road development. It is situated on a fairly level landscape with some undulations. This is a subcircular grass-covered rise (diam. of base 17m NW-SE; 15m NE-SW; H 0.4-0.6m) with two small depressions (diam. c. 2m) on the flat top (diam. 7m E-W). It could be a natural feature.
