What is recorded here

Dromlara is a hidden circular enclosure in County Limerick, recorded only through an aerial photograph taken in 1986. It lies beside a railway line and near another enclosure and ringfort, yet has vanished from later satellite images. The land may have been reclaimed, buried or simply taken for granted by people who walked past it without knowing its shape.

In reclaimed, 20m NE of a railway line. Enclosure (LI024-129----) lies 165m to SW and ringfort (LI024-022---) lies 120m to NE. Not depicted on OS historic mapping. Monument identified as a circular-shaped earthwork by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 88: AP 4/3678). Monument is not visible on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018.
