Dromiskin in County Louth holds scattered fragments from an early monastic site, including a carved spiral pillar piece that Tempest believed formed part of a church doorway. The smooth stone waits patience for hands, remembering the weight of prayers and the shape of a building no longer standing. What is lost is not gone; it has changed form, becoming a marker for imagination rather than a warning about forgetting.
