What is recorded here

Gallaun stands in the Iveragh Peninsula, a tall stone caught inside a much younger fort. The mismatch is the point: a prehistoric upright, a later enclosure, and a fort named for Cromwell all share one small patch of ground. The stone has loosened, been propped, and still refused to fall. It is a place where time stopped pretending to be orderly.

In pasture on E side of Adrigole River valley overlooking Adrigole Bay to S. Rectangular stone aligned NE-SW (H 1.42m; 0.6m x 0.4m).
