Fairy fort in Dromeliagh, County Limerick: a 30m earthen ring on an east-facing slope, its south edge broken by a wide dip and its interior tilting downward like a bowl waiting for rain. Cattle may have circled it for centuries, compacting the scarf until human shape became landscape shape. The gap faces the best view, as if the fort were built to watch rather than hide.

Situated on a gentle E-facing slope in poorly-drained, undulating pasture with good views to S, E and NE. The monument consists of a roughly circular area (30m N-S; 25m E-W) defined by a scarped edge (Wth 2.7m; H 0.5m). There is a dip in the scarp at S (Wth 6.4m). The interior slopes down to the S.
