Indicated is a small coastal promontory fort in County Cork, Ireland, where a rectangular stone platform once projected into Bantry Bay. Westropp described a narrow carved gangway and deep fosse at the landward end, with a level stone-faced platform rising above the neck. The sea has since taken much of that shape, leaving only a diminished trace where warning, watchfulness or passage may have clustered.

Small rectangular area barely projecting W into Bantry Bay. Westropp (1921,103) describes the neck 'carved into a narrow gangway with a fosse, 6 ft to 8 ft deep and about 9 ft wide below, at the landward end. The platform of the fort is level, 15 ft to 20 ft over the neck'. He says this platform was stone faced. Defences and interior heavily eroded since then. Outer defences have disappeared. Interior platform has diminished in size; no stone facing visible. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
