What is recorded here

Cairn is one of six low circular stone piles on the top terrace of Dranagh mountain in County Carlow. Peat has buried most of each granite marker, leaving only a shallow ridge above the black soil. The completed circle would have measured four metres across, large enough for several people to walk around or sit beside. The mountain top exposed that size, while the valley below remained hidden.

On the top terrace of the Dranagh mountain, a low circular cairn (diam. c. 4m; H c. 0.5m), mostly covered in peat. The visible stones are granite. Recorded by Ó Murchú (2011, 66) as part of a Master's thesis (Survey number: C05).
