Cairn C19 is a circular stone ring, thirty-five centimetres high and three and a half metres wide, set on a broad flat terrace in County Carlow. It belongs to a large group of similar cairns, suggesting the terrace once marked a boundary, a gathering place or a row of graves for people whose names have not survived. The stones are not tall or grand, but their repetition turns the land into a language of small repeated gestures.

A Neolithic cairn; part of a larger group of funerary or ritual monuments. Its location on a flat terrace suggests a deliberate choice of elevated or prominent terrain, common in Neolithic ceremonial landscapes.
