Drakeland Upper holds one missing rath. O'Kelly wrote that fact in 1969, yet neither the 1839 nor the 1945-6 maps gave it back. The enclosure has withdrawn from every instrument of finding, leaving only the memory that it existed.

According to O'Kelly (1969, 6) in relation to 'Drakelands', 'There is a one rath in the Upper portion'. There is no enclosure indicated on the 1st (1839) OS 6-inch map or the 1945-6 revision in this townland. The location of the 'rath' is unknown.
