What is recorded here

On level but rocky grassland c. 1km SE of Ballybrit racecourse. A c. 400m stretch of kerbed roadway (Wth c. 5.5m) running NW-SE is visible to E of present Doughiska road. Defined on either side by lines of large limestone, and some granite, boulders. Though it now peters out at either end, this may be the vestiges of the old road from Oranmore to Galway (pers. comm.
